My parents celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary last Friday, and since so many of their friends and family live far away, we decided to throw them a Card Shower. This is the invitation I made to send everyone.
I incorporated the color mom chose for her wedding (light blue) with gold since it's their Golden Anniversary. I used Shimmery White card stock for the card base and stamped this beautiful image from the Baroque Motifs set with Baja Breeze ink in the upper corner before layering their wedding picture onto the card front. The picture was printed right onto Very Vanilla card stock, trimmed, and then layered onto Brushed Gold card stock.
For the trim on the lower front edge, I used the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch with a strip of Baja Breeze card stock. I typed the wording and printed it onto Shimmery White card stock before punching it out with the Word Window Punch and then layered it onto Brushed Gold card stock punched with the Modern Label Punch. The Basic Pearls and 1/8" Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon add a touch of elegance to it.
I used the same design to make my anniversary card for them, just changed the wording on the inside.
