Dying the white flowers from the Pretties Kit is so easy! You'll need re-inker in the color of your choice and a little water. I used about 14 drops of Tempting Turquoise Re-inker and a tablespoon of water to make my dye. Depending on the intensity of the color you want, increase or decrease the amount of re-inker. I used an empty button container to mix my dye.
Using a tweezer, remove the flower from the dye. If the color is too light, leave it in the dye a little longer.
When you're satisfied with the color, place the flower on a paper towel or dry cloth to dry. It dries pretty quickly (just a minute or so) and then it's ready to use on your project. The same technique can be used for dying white grosgrain ribbon. It's pretty quick and easy!

Good Morning! I wanted to share the birthday card I made for my niece, Sarah, who is turning 11 on Friday. For some reason, my picture came out kind of dark and doesn't do it justice...the colors are so much prettier in real life. I used the Party Hearty Stamp Set that I got with my Starter Kit. The Scallop Circle Punch fit perfectly around the "celebrate you" image. I dyed a white flower from the Pretties Kit using my Tempting Turquoise ink refill and added a rhinestone brad in the center. I love the soft color of the flower! I think it turned out pretty cute for a quick card :-) I'm off to pick up my daughter from college today, but I'll post instructions for dying the Pretties flower later today, so check back!

I used the Extra Large Two-Step Bird Punch and Well Scripted Stamp Set from the Occasions Mini Catalog to make this Mother's Day Card. The sample card on page 19 of the mini catalog was my inspiration, I just changed it up a little. I love the detail of the Pinking Hearts Border Punch! Can't wait to give this to my Mom! Aren't these cute!!! I just love this sweet baby image from the Love Bug stamp set! I used Fond Farewell Colors to make these little gift cards. I softened the Cameo Coral card stock by sponging a little white Craft ink on the edges. Love the clean and simple look of these, plus they were quick and easy to make! Stampin' Up! has announced New Color Collections that will be available in the
2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog! The collections combine current colors with
previous "In Colors" and five new colors! I'm so excited about this change! I
think the new colors are going to give a fresh, updated look to all our
projects! Here's a chart of the New Color Collections...
Of course, with these changes, there are colors that must be retired. I'll admit it's sad to see several of them go...I'll be stocking up on my favorites :-) If you have favorite color(s) retiring, now is the time to get ink pads, refills, markers and card stock before they're gone. The chart below shows the colors that will be retiring at the end of June.

This was so easy! I just added our Easter photo to one of the templates on
My Digital Studio, moved the flower images and scalloped edge to fit
around my picture and then added my own wording. I love it!!! What a great way
to preserve memories quickly and easily. This was one of several templates

I'm so excited!! Those of you who know how challenged I am when it comes to technology, will appreciate that my excitement is about more than all the great products I just received, which are awesome! But, I also just uploaded two photos to my Blog by myself!!!!
