Thought I'd share a few pictures from my Open House last Thursday. It's been almost three years since I've gotten together with other girls who love to stamp and create as much as I do. Thanks for coming! I had so much fun! My first Stamp Club is full and I can't wait to get together again with such a great group of girls next month! This morning one of the girls at my Open House admired this card on my display board and asked if it was on my website...so now it is :) This is a card I made years ago when the Simply Said set was first released. The measurements are a little different than a standard card. They are 9 1/2" x 4 1/4" and scored at 4 3/8". The slit closure was made using the Slit Punch. By sliding the card stock (back side of the card) all the way into the punch, it's the perfect fit for tucking the front of the card closed. A couple of the elements on this card are retired...the background stamp is Dots and Daisies as well as the retired ribbons. It would be very easy to re-create this card by using one of the images in the Simply Said set to create the subtle background and substituting another ribbon. Email me if you have questions.

This is the second project we'll be making at my Open House tomorrow. It holds a Hershey's Chocolate Nugget perfectly. I was testing out different color combinations and I'm still not sure which one I like best. Leave a comment and let me know what you think :)

Good morning! This card is one of two Make 'n Take projects I'll have at my Open House tomorrow. I used the Priceless and God's Blessings stamp sets. I like the simple, but elegant look. My other project is a 3-D nugget holder, I'll post it later today.

I'm so sorry it's taken me so long to get the directions for creating the bow on this card posted. I tried and tried to master the video, but have not been able to get it to work right. I have NOT given up, but wanted to get this to you the only way I know how to for now...a photo tutorial :) There are several photos here because I wanted to show you what each step looks like.
Begin by punching two circles on either side of the dress's waistline using a 1/8" circle punch.
Next cut a 4" piece of Taffeta Ribbon and fold it in half. Holding the ends together cut diagonally to create a sharp point.
Keeping the two ends together, insert the ribbon into the front side of first hole.
Pull the ends of the ribbon through to the back side, about 1/2" on one of the ends and hold down, and pull the other end through until the loop on the front is the size you like. (Be careful not to pull it all the way through or you'll have to start over).
This is what the first loop should look like on the front side.
Thread the longer end from the back side through the second hole to the front side.
This is how it should look after pulling it through.
Thread the same end back through the same hole from front to back, leaving enough ribbon to form the second loop on the front.
This is what the back side will look like when you're finished. I used a little Snail Adhesive to hold the ends down on the back side.
The last step is to adhere a pearl from the Pretties Kit using a mini glue dot between the two loops.

One more graduation card, I promise to move past graduations after this :) I've definitely gotten a lot of use out of this stamp set! I used the Scallop Circle Punch to punch the black scallop circle, applied Tombo Multi Purpose Adhesive around the edges of the scallop circle (the center will get punched out), then centered the 1 3/8" Circle Punch over the scallop circle to punch out the opening. I tied 1/4" Black Grosgrain Ribbon through the punched circle and around the side of the card. This idea came from my upline, Angie. I like it because it's so simple and doesn't take a lot of time to put together...plus it's really cute! I made this card in blue, green and red for all the different school colors of the graduates I know this year.
Punched the owl image using the 1 3/4" Circle Punch and adhered it to the inside of the card so it shows through the opening on the front of the card. Very Cute! Contact me if you have questions.

So many graduations, so little time! This is another graduation card using the Go Graduate set. This one measures 6 1/8" x 3 1/8" and will be perfect for inserting a check :) Hope my nephew likes it!

I used the Go Graduate Stamp Set from the Summer Mini Catalog to make this graduation card for my son. He's graduating from Kansas State next Saturday, so I did it in his school colors. I thought this card would be perfect for him...his favorite part of the graduation ceremony will be when everyone tosses their caps and it's OVER :-) This is the first of several graduations we have this year, so I've got a lot more cards to make. I'll be posting them as I make them, so check back for more ideas!
