Tomorrow's the Day!!!

My card today was made with the Apple Blossoms Stamp Set, a new Level 2 Hostess Set.  The images in this set are so cute, and this is just the first of many ideas I have in mind for it. 

I've been in sort of a "color rut" for a while, so I was excited to try out the new Color Coach.  I used one of the creative combinations, which included two new In Colors, Peach Parfait and Pear Pizzazz, with Not Quite Navy and Chocolate Chip.  I wouldn't have thought to use these colors together, but I really like them. This tool is just what I needed to help me out of my rut :)

Great Friend Card

 

Don't you just love these bright buttons...this card makes me smile :)  The Sherbet and Playground Designer Buttons were used on this card.  They are the perfect touch to make these flowers pop!  The leaves were created with the Extra Large Two-Step Bird Punch carried over from the Occasions Mini Catalog and will also be available in the new Catalog.  Thanks to Kristen, a fellow demonstrator, for sharing this cute card with me.

Simply Thanks

 

This card was made using the Simply Thanks stamp.  It's one of the Single Stamps for just $7.95 retiring at the end of the month.  I like the masculine look of this card.  For some reason, I find it harder to create really nice looking masculine cards so I always appreciate getting them.  I got this card from Jennifer, a fellow demonstrator.  She created the textured background with the Lattice Embossing Folder in the Big Shot Die Cut Machine.  I'm thinking I could change the stamped image and turn this into a great Father's Day Card!

Close as a Memory

It seems like I've been needing a lot more sympathy cards lately.  Here's one I made this week using the Close As A Memory stamp set.   It's one of the retiring sets that I have used over and over again.  I will definitely miss it.  On the up side, the River Rock card stock is coming to the new catalog!  River Rock was an In Color a couple years ago.  I'm so happy to get this color back...it's a favorite!  I used a Lavender Lace Marker to color the flowers right onto the stamp and then an Elegant Eggplant Marker just along the edges of each flower to give it a little dimension before stamping the image.  I don't have a River Rock marker yet, so I used Sahara Sand for the stems and leaves...I think it worked well.  I also lightly dyed the Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon by running it through the River Rock Ink Pad.

Big Bold Cupcake

Isn't this the sweetest card!  This is just one more reason I love my Big Shot Die Cut Machine.  The Scallop Square Die and Big Bold Cupcake Sizzlet were used to create this card.  I received it from a fellow demonstrator...Thank you Amy :)  Love the added detail on the inside too!  The Pink Pirouette card stock used here is one of the colors in the New Subtles Color Collection.  It's one of my favorites already!  To learn more about the Big Shot, Click Here.
