Punch Bunch Birthday Card

 
I have the Sale-A-Bration Punch Bunch set  and thought I'd use it to make my nephew's Birthday card.  He turns 18 next week...a big birthday for him, so I wanted to make it special by including 18 somehow.  I'm not sure what, but I think this card still needs something.  I'm out of time though, so it's going as is.  At least he'll know I didn't forget him :)

I don't have any number sets right now, so I decided to spell it out with the Sweet Shoppe lower case alphabet.  I used the Jewelry Tag punch on each letter and hung them from a thin strip of Early Espresso card stock.  I cut small pieces of dimensionals to hold them in place.  For the Punch Bunch birthday image, I wanted to jazz it up a little.  I used the polka dot box in the Playful Pieces Hostess set to stamp a pattern in Peach Parfait ink, then stamped over it with Riding Hood Red ink, cut out just the "HB" and popped it up with a dimensional.  I have a feeling this is one of those projects that I'll look at tomorrow and think of a way to make it better :)

Valentine Candy Jar

I made this little Valentine gift using the Filled with Love set, some Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon and the Pinking Hearts Border Punch.  I've never tried gathering the ribbon before and wanted to give it a try.  It was much easier than I thought!

I just frayed the end of a piece of ribbon and then pulled one of the strings to gather.  Once I had it gathered, I attached it to the 1 1/4" circle of Melon Mambo Patterns DSP with sticky strip, finished decorating with the stamped image, more circle punches and attached the whole thing to the top of the jar with sticky strip. This is a card I created with the Valentine Defined set found in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  I LOVE these little heart flowers! (To see this card close up and a little sharper, click on the picture.)

I used Melon Mambo, Regal Rose and Pear Pizzazz Markers to color right onto the stamp before stamping onto the Whisper White Card Stock for the focal point.  For the stamped background flowers, I inked my stamp with Pear Pizzazz and stamped off once before stamping the card front to give it this subtle effect.  The Subtles Patterns Designer Series Paper was used on the bottom half of the card and Certainly Celery 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon made the pretty bow.  (See the complete list of supplies below.)

This is such a sweet card and it could easily be used for many different occasions just by switching the wording on the tags.  We made this at Stamp Club last night and I think everyone liked it as much as I do :)

Valentine Defined

The Valentine Defined stamp set is one of my favorites in the Occasions Mini Catalog because it can be used for many different occasions, not just Valentine's Day.  The images are so pretty!  I love the soft colors used for this card and the 2 1/2" circle punch is my new favorite punch...at least for this week :)

Glimmer Valentines

 
Here are a few Valentine cards I made using the red Glimmer Paper in the Occasions Mini Catalog along with the Filled with Love stamp set.  I love the glittery look of the this paper and the best part is I didn't end up with red glitter all over myself and my work space!  It doesn't flake off at all...not even when I punched it.  I love that!

Greeting Card Kids Matchbox

I think the Greeting Card Kids set is too cute!  I saw this little matchbox on my Demonstrator website.  Beth, a fellow demonstrator, came up with it and I had to make one.  I thought the idea of threading a brad through an eyelet for the drawer pull was very inventive :)  My lighting wasn't very good when I was coloring the image, so don't look too closely, but it was fun!  I used the ink from my markers with the blender pen to get a little shading.

Tasteful Trim Card

 I finally got a chance to use several products I've had for a while, but hadn't found time to use much...the In Color Designer Series Paper Pack, Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder, and my Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die.  It's one of my favorites, so I'm really happy it's one of the Holiday Mini Carryover Items.  The stamped image is from the Punch Bunch set that will be available Free when Sale-A-Bration begins on January 25th!

I love pastel colors, so I really enjoyed working with these...Blushing Bride, Certainly Celery and Pear Pizzazz.  I sponged a little Regal Rose ink on the edges of the Scallop Circle and used my Regal Rose marker to color the wording and edges of the flowers to make them stand out a little better.  For the textured section, I used a separate piece of Whisper White Card Stock and adhered it to the card base.  

Another demonstrator came up with this layout and I liked it so much I had to try it.  I just changed designer papers, colors and the stamp set to make it my own.  I'm really pleased with the way it turned out!
