Rag Quilt Purse

I love my Big Shot!  I had to show you this cute Rag Quilt Purse I made using the Bigz Clear Scallop Square Die to cut all the squares.  What a time saver!  Instead of using a rotary cutter to cut each square to size, I was able to cut 8 perfect scallop squares at once using my Big Shot and the Scallop Square die. 

With the Big Shot and Bigz and Original dies, you can cut through a variety of materials...paper, card stock, chipboard, corkboard, fabric, aluminum, etc.  Pretty much anything your Craft & Rubber Scissors will cut through, the Big Shot and these dies will cut through too.

Build a Cupcake Birthday

I am having so much fun using the Build a Cupcake Punch and Create a Cupcake stamp set!  This is the birthday card we made at Stamp Club this week.   I love the colors...Old Olive, So Saffron and Rose Red for the little flower.  The Basic Pearl in the center of the flower is the finishing touch that makes this card so special.  It comes with adhesive already on the back, so it's really easy to add.  I've also been using my Scallop Squares Duo Die a lot lately, it's one of the carryover products from the Holiday Mini Catalog.  To see all the items carried over  and still available from the Holiday Mini Catalog Click Here.

Pompom Trim Cupcake Card

My card for today was my first attempt at using the Create a Cupcake stamp set with the Sale-a-Bration Ice Cream Parlor DSP.  I had envisioned a really bright and fun birthday card for a child.  It didn't quite come out the way I saw it in my head...but, it's not the worst card I've ever made either :)  I really like the pompom trim, but I'm thinking it would be more effective used another way ;-)

Create a Cupcake

Check out this darling birthday card I made for my friend, whose favorite color is purple :)  I used the Build a Cupcake Punch and Create a Cupcake stamp set, both are in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  I love the wording in this stamp set, the font is so pretty!  And my favorite image is the cute, little flower.  The colors really are much prettier in person...Elegant Eggplant tends to look almost black in a photo.

I used my Elegant Eggplant marker to color the flower and Old Olive for the leaves.  On the lighter flowers I stamped off once before adding the Old Olive ink to the leaves.  I put the smallest pearl from the Jewels Basic Pearls in the center of each one...so sweet!  The cupcakes were punched out of Elegant Eggplant and Perfect Plum Patterns DSP.  I used the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch to make the scallops. 

I think it turned out really cute...I hope she likes it!

A New Look!

I'm so happy to finally have my own personal blog design!  I was going for something simple and pretty and VK Design made it happen!  I love it!!!  Thank you again Veronica! 

Polka Dot Birthday

   

Today's project is a little birthday card I put together really fast this morning.  I was inspired by the green polka dotted brad.  It's one of six designs in the Sweet Stitches Fabric Designer Brads. 

I punched a flower out of Daffodil Delight DSP with the Fancy Flower Punch and added Daffodil Delight Pompom Trim...too cute!!!  The flower is popped up with dimensionals.  The pompoms were puffier than the dimensionals though, so I just used the trim on either side of the flower.  I attached the pompoms with a thin line of Liquid Glue, which worked great!  "Happy Birthday" is wording from the Create a Cupcake stamp set.

Filled with Love Friend Card

Okay, I know Valentine's Day is over, but here's one more cute little card I had to share with  you.  The little heart flowers are from the Filled with Love set and "friends" is from the Tiny Tags set.  I also used one of my favorite die cuts, the Clearlits Scallop Rectangle.  It's so sweet and allows me to create a focal point out of the smallest images. 

Even though I sent this out for Valentine's Day, this could be sent to a friend anytime of year.  I can see this same card in Baja Breeze, Regal Rose, or any color you like!  And...it's super easy to make!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!

 
Thought I'd share one more Valentine card I made with the Filled with Love set today.  I used the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit with my Big Shot to get the cut-out heart behind the stamped image.  Raised the stamped heart with a dimensional and added a little heart of Red Glimmer Paper punched with the 2-Step Owl Punch  (you can see it better if you click on the image to enlarge).   I thought the base needed a little something, so I stamped a subtle background using the "Love" stamp with Real Red ink on Real Red card stock.

So Happy for You

I broke out my So Happy for You set to make this cute thank you card.  I love the butterfly!  I colored directly onto the stamp with a Marina Mist marker to stamp just the butterly and then used the fine tip of my Old Olive marker to add the dotted flight path.  I wanted it to be longer than the one on the stamp...so I improvised :)  The Marina Mist taffeta ribbon is such a pretty blue and it coordinated nicely with this Play Date Designer Series Paper. 

This card was so easy to make.  I used the pre-cut note cards and just added the designer paper, ribbon and stamped image...super quick!  I'm going to make a whole set to keep on hand...I'll probably do a few for birthdays, thinking of you, etc. just by changing the wording.

Punch Bunch Owl

Today's project is a Valentine card I made for my son using the Punch Bunch set with the 2-Step Owl Punch.  I have to say, using this set with the owl punch makes assembling the owl's eyes much easier...it saves the step of handling those itty bitty dots to adhere them to the center of the owl's eyes.  I also like the polka dots on his vest, just adds a little interest.  The Punch Bunch set is Free and only available with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration!
