Memorable Moments

It's so much fun to get new stamps and products!  I like to get a feel for them before I begin creating, so I did a little "warm-up" card using the new Memorable Moments and Besty's Blossoms stamp sets and two of the new In Colors, Raspberry Ripple and Gumball Green.  I copied this straight from my Stampin' Success magazine : )  I love the idea of using the large blossom image from Besty's Blossoms to create this pretty Baja Breeze background, and the stitched border from Memorable Moments that coordinates with the Framelits Labels Die. 

I'm very excited about all of these new products!  But, my favorite new product so far has got be  the New Firm Foam Ink Pads!!!  They're awesome!!   Just a soft, gentle tap inks your stamps evenly and creates a perfectly stamped image!  I must admit that when Stampin' Up! announced they were changing the ink pads, I had no intention of replacing my old ones.   Until....I received my new In Color ink pads, which came in the new firm foam.  Now that I've actually used them, there is no question in my mind that I will definitely be replacing my old ones.  The new pads are that nice!!!

New Catalog Sneak Peek

Here's a sneak peek at the new Catalog!  These are the In Colors for 2012-2014 and a new stamp set, Besty's Blossoms.  I love this beautiful flower image and how vibrant it looks in the new colors!  The New Catalog is effective June 1st...can't wait!!!

Bitty Butterfly Box

For our 3D project at Stamp Club this week, we made this cute little butterfly box with matching gift card.  The coordinating envelope was die-cut from the Regal Rose Patterned Paper.  The box and envelope are really easy to make with the Bitty Box & Envelope Die.  It's the perfect size to hold candy (like Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, York Peppermint Patty, Ghiardelli Chocolate Squares), a stack of gift cards, or a small gift.

Best Dad Ever Father's Day Card

This is the Father's Day card we'll be making at Stamp Club tonight.  I thought it was a really clever way to create a simple dress shirt, so I CASE'd it from the Stampin Up! Facebook page : )  The shirt and tie idea is perfect for Father's Day! 

There are a few retiring products used on this card, Peach Parfait and Pear Pizzazz Card Stock and Real Red 5/8" Satin Ribbon. Word Play

I love this wording from the Word Play Stamp Set, it's perfect for graduations, promotions, and new beginnings.  This is a graduation card I made to give to a friend's daughter.  The butterfly is die-cut from the Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die.  I've used my Paisley Petals Designer Papers again...I just love them!  They're retiring as well as the Crimper, which was used on the Always Artichoke card stock across the center.

Well Worn Father's Day Card

Today's Father's Day card was created with the Well Worn Designer Series Papers, Framelits Labels Dies and the Best Dad Ever Stamp Set.  I think the papers have a masculine quality that made them the perfect choice for Father's Day.  Since I struggle to come up with ideas for "manly" cards, I decided to choose a layout I had used before and then used the Well Worn papers to inspire my color choices.  From there, it was pretty easy : )

Pocket Silhouettes

Pocket Silhouettes is probably my favorite stamp set for making clean and simple thank you notes in a hurry.  It's retiring and definitely a set I would get before it's gone!  The images are so sweet and they look great simply stamped or embellished with punches and accessories. 

For today's card, I used markers to add color directly onto the stamp before stamping and then added punched flowers.  I cut the flower pot from Crumb Cake card stock and sponged the edges with Crumb Cake Classic ink.

F.Y.I. Not all Stampin' Write Markers will be available to purchase individually in the new catalog, instead they'll be sold in color collections.  If there are individual colors you're wanting, I would order them now!

Simply Adorned Necklace

I got this Simply Adorned Charm and Chain last Fall and completely forgot I had it, until I came across it today!  Makes me wonder what other wonderful things I have buried in this room : )  Anyway, now that I've had a chance to get my hands on one, I love it!  The hinged charm makes it really easy to insert your creations, so you can switch them out for any occasion, season, etc.  This is the 1" x 1 1/4" Charm with a 24" Chain and I used the Fresh Vintage Sale-a-bration stamp set with a retired Triple Flower Punch to decorate the inside.
