Melon Mambo Memorable Moments

Love these bright colors!  Today's 50th birthday card is a feminine version of the Memorable Moments sample in the Annual Catalog (pg. 138).  I used scraps of designer series papers, ribbon and card stock to create this vibrant background.  Each of the patterned strips was adhered to a separate piece of Whisper White card stock, then the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border was added to both long edges before adhering the whole layer to the card front.  To create the label, I die-cut the stamped image using the second smallest framelit in the Labels Collection Framelits.

Feeling Sentimental

I love the vintage feel of the Feeling Sentimental stamp set, it was just right for today's masculine birthday card.  I used the Naturals Ivory card stock and sponged it with Soft Suede ink to give it an aged look, Tea for Two Designer Paper (pg. 3 of the Spring Catalog), and Natural Composition Specialty Paper.  Soft Suede ink was brayered onto the Natural Composition paper, then wiped off with a tissue to remove the excess ink from the embossed pattern...such a cool way to define the pattern and add color!  I finished it with a Naturals Designer Button and a Linen Thread bow.

Best of Everything

The Best of Everything stamp set has been on my wish list forever and I finally have it!!  I love all the images in this set, but for today's card, I used the bird and branch and then just printed my own wording.  I made this card for a cousin who is expecting a baby.  The So Saffron flowers were created with the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and finished with Pearl Basic Jewels.

The font used for the wording is Stampin' Up!'s Harry Paul (retired).

Whole Latte Love

For today's card I chose one of my favorite color combos...Soft Suede and Pool Party, along with one of my "go-to" layouts for small images.  The image is one of five in the Patterned Occasions stamp set.  It's free during Sale-A-Bration, as is this pretty Pool Party Stitched Satin Ribbon. 

I punched the small heart from the Owl Builder Punch in Pool Party and added it with a Glue Dot.  Simple, but very sweet!

Patterned Occasions

Today's birthday gift card was stamped with the free Sale-A-Bration set, Patterned Occasions.  It's one of my favorite Sale-A-Bration sets : )   I'm also really glad to have the new Ovals Framelits, used to create the window on the card front (find them on pg. 4 of the Spring Catalog). 

For the image, I inked the bottom part of the stamp with Early Espresso ink and then colored the candle and heart with markers.  The icing was stamped separately in Daffodil Delight ink, cut out and then added with a Glue Dot.  The two smallest ovals from the framelits set were used for this little card.  Finished gift card measures 3 1/4" x 4 1/4".

Happy Valentine's Day!  Today's card features one of the Best of Love stamps. This sentiment was offered in the Well Scripted stamp set a couple years ago...one of my all-time favorites!  The sweet little tulip is one of 24 stamps in the Spring Sampler (pg. 23 of the Spring Catalog).

Patterned Occasions Birthday

Today's birthday card was stamped with the Patterned Occasions Sale-A-Bration set.  I used markers directly on the stamp to color the cupcake image.  Every once in a while I need to step out of my comfort zone, so I used colors from the Color Coach and a layout from a sketch challenge I found...I would have never come up with this layout myself, but I think it's cute!  Supply list for today's project at the end of today's post.

Mixed Bunch in So Saffron

Looking back at my recent posts, I've decided I am all about clean & simple lately.  Here's another card that I think is absolutely beautiful and requires minimal time and effort...I love it!!! 

This is done in So Saffron, a soft, cheerful color that brings these Mixed Bunch flowers to life.  The sentiment is from the Pursuit of Happiness stamp set and I used Jet Black StazOn ink to create a striking contrast.
