Rehearsal Dinner Invitations

The past 16 months have flown around here with three back-to-back weddings!  I can't believe that in less than one month, my last child will be married!!  It's very exciting, but busy!  I finished the Rehearsal Dinner invitations last week and snapped a quick picture.  It's not the best lighting, but thought I'd share them with you anyway.  The color is actually a really pretty purple.  

To make these, I printed all the information on the computer and created the stamped pattern using one of the ornament stamps from the Ornament Keepsakes Stamp Set (still available to purchase).  It's great when a stamp is so versatile! Here is another card made using the same ornament stamp.  I love this pattern!!

Modern Medley Get Well

I needed a Get Well card (for a man) in a hurry and thought I'd try this sketch I saw.  It's great for using up scraps of patterned paper!  I used the Modern Medley Designer Series Papers.  

As I said, I was in a big hurry!  Looking at this now, I can see several things I would do differently next time.  I'd make the strips slightly wider and I would lose the horizontal polka dotted strip altogether and move the remaining three horizontal strips a little lower. Can you tell  I'm a little anal?  I'm working on it though ; )  My limited time lately has forced me to to adopt a "good enough" approach!  I can't tell you how hard it was to go ahead and send this without re-doing it, but I did!  For me, that's progress : )

Apothecary Art Birthday

I am notorious for getting a new product and using it like crazy, then moving on to the next wonderful new thing and forgetting all about it....that's what happened with the Apothecary Art Stamp Set and coordinating Labels Collection Framelits.  In my attempt to do a little Spring cleaning the past few weeks I re-discovered them : )  They work perfectly together to create so many beautiful cards...so I dusted them off and made this pretty birthday card.  

Pear Pizzazz is definitely a favorite of mine...so fresh and Spring-like.  So I used the polka dot designer paper and pretty Pear Pizzazz 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon, then added a pop of color to the flowers with Melon Mambo ink.  My birthday sentiment is from the Loving Thoughts stamp set, which is a set of 11 and works perfectly with Apothecary Art to cover lots of different occasions.  Can't wait to share this card at this week's Make 'N Take Card Class!

Simply Stars Birthday Card

The Simply Stars and Gorgeous Grunge stamp sets are great for masculine cards.  I saw this in subtles as a baby card on Pinterest (created by Beth McAlexander) and I thought it would make a really nice masculine birthday card, so this is my version.  I like Midnight Muse and Old Olive together.  Midnight Muse is one of my favorites and it's also an In Color that will be retiring when the new catalog comes out in June :-/ I'm really hoping that somehow they'll work it into the Regals Collection...I guess stranger things have happened, so I have my fingers crossed ; )

Little Leaves Thank You

Oval Window Easter Box

Oh so cute!!!  These darling Easter Boxes would be pretty in every color of the rainbow!  They're made from what I have always called  2, 4, 6, 8 boxes...a half sheet of card stock scored at 2", 4", 6" and 8", then turned and scored at 2" to create the bottom flaps...super easy!!  One of my fellow demonstrators in the UK, Sam Donald, came up with these and I couldn't resist CASEing them!  Love the windows created with Oval Punches!!  See her video tutorial here.  

I did create my own tags for these by punching an Extra-Large Oval from Whisper White card stock and using the brush tip of my markers to create my own gingham pattern on the bottom half.  I added the sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set and some Itty Bitty flowers punched from the Subtles Designer Series Paper.  The cute polka dotted cellophane bags come in the Twisty Treats Kit...one of the free Sale-a-Bration items you can choose with a $50 purchase during the Sale-a-Bration promotion.

Petal Parade Hello

Okay, this picture is not doing this card justice...the colors are so much prettier in person! This bright & beautiful card was CASE'd from a card created by Ruth Norton.  She used both the Petal Parade and You're Lovely Sale-a-Bration stamp sets on her card (see it here, you'll just need to scroll down to it).  I switched mine up a little and used the "hello" sentiment from the Label Something stamp set.  

I love this color combination, which came directly from the Color Coach...Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, and Pumpkin Pie.  It's so vibrant and fun!!  This is one of four projects we'll be making at this month's Make 'N Take.

Blessed Easter Embossed Gingham Card

Today's Easter card was stamped with the Blessed Easter single stamp from the Occasions Catalog  (pg. 20).  I used the Stripes Embossing Folder to create the pretty Gingham pattern.  This is one of the free projects we did at Stamp Club this week.
