Monogram Note Cards Gift Box

 

Today's project is a pretty gift box of monogram note cards created with the Sophisticated Serifs and Your Perfect Day Stamp Sets.  Both of these sets can be found in the Occasions Catalog thru June 2nd. 

I love this alphabet set!  It's perfect for monograms because it includes both upper and lower case letters of the entire alphabet, plus a pretty frame and three delicate flower images.

I paired this with the pretty vine image from the Your Perfect Day stamp set for a feminine look.  I think these will make great Mother's Day gifts!!

I used Pistachio Pudding and Crisp Cantaloupe, both are 2013-2015 In Colors that will be retiring in June.  I love these subtles and I'm very sad to see them go...I am stocking up on them now.  These colors will go fast, so get them before they're gone!

Occasions Catalog Sneak Peek

The simple leaf image on my Anniversary card is from the new Crazy About You stamp set coming in the Occasions Catalog.  It's a set of 33 stamps, including 30 sentiments and coordinates with the Hello You Thinlits Dies.  They'll be offered individually or in a discounted bundle!  I can't wait for you to see them!!  I am so excited about all the beautiful new products coming in both the Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-Bration Brochure!!! Products from both will be available beginning January 6th!

Dazzling Diamonds Glitter was added to the leaves, which adds pretty sparkle (hard to see in this photo) and the sentiment was printed onto Shimmery White card stock. This card is for my daughter and her husband, who will celebrate their first anniversary next Sunday.  I still don't know where that year went...it passed in a blur!

Petite Petals Wedding Card

Shimmery White card stock adds such elegance to this beautifully simple wedding card.  I stamped the Petite Petals flowers in Wisteria Wonder ink since the wedding color is purple. One of the Apothecary Accents Framelits was used to die-cut the window on a separate layer of card stock and then I attached it to the card front with Dimensionals.  

This is my version of a sympathy card designed by Paula Knall, a talented fellow demonstrator.  This beautiful design could be used for many occasions simply by changing the sentiment.

CASE'd Lattice Window Card

Isn't this beautiful!  This card was created by one of my fellow demonstrators, Dawn Olchefske, and I just had to CASE it!!  It's very deceiving how easy this is to make too!  

The Window Frames Framelits and Lattice Bigz Die were used to create the lovely window on the front of this card.  Modern Mosaic Embossing was added under the elegant Whisper White Organza Ribbon.  Inside, I used a sentiment from the One in a Million stamp set, making it a wedding card.  

I really like this soft color combination, Soft Sky Card Stock and Smoky Slate Classic ink, very elegant.

In a pinch...

Sheesh!  I don't know where my time is going these days!!  My sister had asked me to come up with packaging for the popcorn favors she planned for my future daughter-in-law's bridal shower.  Normally, I am so on top of things like this...but it totally slipped my mind until the last minute :-/ This is when it really pays to have my Stampin' Up! punches and dies! 

For the tags, I printed the wording onto Whisper White card stock and then punched it out with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch and layered it onto an Elegant Eggplant circle die-cut from the Circles Collection Framelits.  I popped that onto a 2 3/8" Scalloped Circle with some Dimensionals.  The cute polka-dotted cellophane bags are from the Sale-a-Bration Twisty Treat Kit and...voila!!  Party Favors : )

Rehearsal Dinner Invitations

The past 16 months have flown around here with three back-to-back weddings!  I can't believe that in less than one month, my last child will be married!!  It's very exciting, but busy!  I finished the Rehearsal Dinner invitations last week and snapped a quick picture.  It's not the best lighting, but thought I'd share them with you anyway.  The color is actually a really pretty purple.  

To make these, I printed all the information on the computer and created the stamped pattern using one of the ornament stamps from the Ornament Keepsakes Stamp Set (still available to purchase).  It's great when a stamp is so versatile! Here is another card made using the same ornament stamp.  I love this pattern!!

Oval Window Easter Box

Oh so cute!!!  These darling Easter Boxes would be pretty in every color of the rainbow!  They're made from what I have always called  2, 4, 6, 8 boxes...a half sheet of card stock scored at 2", 4", 6" and 8", then turned and scored at 2" to create the bottom flaps...super easy!!  One of my fellow demonstrators in the UK, Sam Donald, came up with these and I couldn't resist CASEing them!  Love the windows created with Oval Punches!!  See her video tutorial here.  

I did create my own tags for these by punching an Extra-Large Oval from Whisper White card stock and using the brush tip of my markers to create my own gingham pattern on the bottom half.  I added the sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set and some Itty Bitty flowers punched from the Subtles Designer Series Paper.  The cute polka dotted cellophane bags come in the Twisty Treats Kit...one of the free Sale-a-Bration items you can choose with a $50 purchase during the Sale-a-Bration promotion.

Happy 2014!

 

Happy New Year!  I'm hoping you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year's celebration.  Mine was extra-special and extra-busy with my daughter's wedding taking place right between the two ; )  Which explains why I've been "missing" for the past several weeks.  I've been meaning to share the favors (pictured above) I created for the wedding before now, but better a little late than never.

These heart ornament wedding favors are clear glass heart-shaped ornaments with Silver Glass Stampin' Glitter coating the insides.  They turned out really pretty...sort of a faux cracked glass or mercury glass look.  I found a great tutorial for glittered ornaments here.  They really weren't that hard, just a little time-consuming when making about 200 of them!  Thankfully, I had some excellent helpers...thank you mom, Janette and Katelynn!!

After a year of planning and preparing, I am very happy to say the wedding was absolutely beautiful!!!  I'm so happy for my daughter and new son-in-law and excited for their future together.  I wouldn't be a proud mom if I didn't share a few pictures from this special day...

So Beautiful!!!

Well, we now have two weddings down and one to go!  My oldest son, Ryan, was married a year ago in November, but I didn't get the pictures right away and I don't think I ever shared any of them.  So here are a few from their wedding (again, better late than never)...

Our last wedding is coming soon!  My son, Michael, will get married this April.  Yes, that's three weddings in under a year and half!!  I'm exhausted, but in a very good way : )  My husband and I couldn't be more pleased to have two new daughters and a son joining our family.  We are extremely blessed!!

With all that's been happening lately my stamping and creating have been put on the backburner a bit, but I wouldn't have missed this time with my kids for anything!  I hope to re-group and get back into my stamping room very soon!  Thanks for letting me share my excitement with you : )

Pleasant Poppies

I ordered the Pleasant Poppies background stamp a couple of months ago and finally had a chance to play with it.  I'm not much of an artist when it comes to watercoloring or painting, but I think these poppies are made for watercoloring, so I gave it a shot ; )  First, I heat embossed the image and sentiment with White Embossing Powder and then added Bermuda Bay ink with the Aqua Painter to the flowers and stems.  Like I said, I'm no artist...but I still think it turned out kind of cool looking : )
