Today's Christmas card is my take on this week's sketch challenge over at Chic Challenges.  I know it's June, but I figure if I start now, I won't be scrambling to get cards made in December ; )  I used the Sweet Essentials Stamp Set, Brights Designer Series Paper Stack, and Brights Designer Buttons for this quick & easy card.

This is my card for this week's sketch challenge over at Chic Challenges.  I decided to turn the sketch sideways and use the Needlepoint Border Embossing Folder to create subtle scalloped edges...this is easily one of my favorite embossing folders! The Papillon Potpourri Stamp Set and coordinating Elegant Butterfly Punch create beautiful butterflies with lots of dimension.  

I also used several retiring items...Baha Breeze 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Tiny Tags Stamp Set and coordinating Jewelry Tag Punch.  Retiring stamp sets are available until June 3rd, but accessories are only available while supplies last.  Get them before they're gone!!

Chic Challenge CC-03

This is my card for this week's sketch challenge over at Chic Challenges.  I used the Lacy & Lovely stamp set and stepped up the challenge for myself by using a color combination that is out of my norm...Midnight Muse, Lucky Limeade, Daffodil Delight & Raspberry Ripple.

For some reason, I was having a serious creative block on this sketch...I have no idea why because it's very simple!  After several failed attempts at producing anything I deemed worthy, I went to my catalog for inspiration and landed on page 98.  I really like the Lacy & Lovely card sample (upper left of page).  Without totally copying it, this is what I was able to come up with : )

Today's graduation card is my take on the second sketch challenge for this month over at Chic Challenges.  I love this sentiment from the Word Play stamp set and I thought the compass image from The Open Sea set would coordinate nicely with the "direction" theme.  With graduations just around the corner, I'm thinking this card could work for both guys and girls.

Chic Challenges CC01

Good morning!  I am so excited to be one of the designers for Chic Challenges...a new sketch challenge that will take place the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month.   It's meant to provide inspiration to get creative, and you're invited to play along!

My card today was created for our first challenge (see it below).   I used the flower burst image from the Betsy's Blossoms stamp set to create a bold background for my card front by stamping it in Island Indigo, More Mustard, and Old Olive Classic Inks.  I like the striking contrast of the Basic Black against the mostly white background.  For the written instructions and supply list Download Just Believe Blossom Card Instructions.
