All is Calm Christmas Tags Box

My project for today is one of two free projects I created for my Stamp Club members to make this month.  It's a divided window box that holds gift tags and more!  I used the All is Calm Specialty Papers with coordinating colors of card stock...Pear Pizzazz, Lost Lagoon, Smoky Slate and Soft Sky.  I love these colors and the patterns in this specialty paper are so beautiful!!  

The inside of the box is divided to hold three different items.

These are the tags we made with the Holiday Home Stamp Set and coordinating Framelits.  It's hard to see in the picture, but these sparkle with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and Glitter.

The round tags were stamped with the Letterpress Winter stamp set and punched with various Circle Punches.

Who wouldn't love to receive this handmade gift!

Seasonally Scattered Thanks

This is such a simple card, but it definitely has "wow" factor!  It's a fancy fold card, which makes it special already, but then the Seasonally Scattered "thanks" image is loaded with beautiful Fall colors!!  

It's so easy to get all this gorgeous color...I began by inking the image with Hello Honey ink, then I added a little Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and Blackberry Bliss ink with Sponge Daubers, before stamping the image onto Very Vanilla card stock...BEAUTIFUL!!!!

I used a sentiment from the Good Greetings stamp set on the inside, along with more of the Seasonally Scattered leaves in each corner.  

I think this makes such a beautiful Thanksgiving card!!

Bordering Blooms Blessing Bag

Today's project is a Mini Muslin Bag perfect for Thanksgiving.  I used the Bordering Blooms and Gratitude for Days stamp sets to decorate the bag and then created a coordinating tag using the Scallop Tag Topper Punch.  This would be a nice favor to set next to each placesetting at Thanksgiving dinner, and it doesn't take a lot of time to make!  

Both of these stamp sets are photopolymer (completely clear), so it's very easy to stamp the Bordering Blooms images and perfectly place one image inside the other.

Ghoulish Greetings Punch Board Treat Box

Today's project is a Halloween Treat Box made with the Envelope Punch Board. It's the perfect size to hold a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup...yum!  I created a fun belly band from a strip of Basic Black card stock & Motley Monsters DSP and added a sentiment from the Ghoulish Greetings stamp set to secure the box and transform it into a cute Halloween treat : )

This is a really simple project!  It will be quick & easy to make a bunch of these for my special trick-or-treaters : )

Wonderful Wreath

 

I just can't get enough of the Wonderful Wreath stamp set and coordinating Framelits!  It's so easy to create these beautiful die-cut images with the discounted bundle.  And...I really love the die-cut "Joy" done in Silver Foil!!  

I used the All is Calm Specialty Designer Paper for today's card because it's nice to do holiday cards in something other than the traditional red and green once in a while. I love the colors in these papers, they are so pretty and they work beautifully together!

Sumthin' with Bubbly Words Bundle

Back to the project...  I saw a similar card on the Stampin' Up! website and loved the idea of using the Word Bubbles Framelits in a new way!  I laid them over the Smoky Slate card stock and traced inside the framelits with a White Gel Pen to create this cool background.  I heat embossed the sentiment with White Stampin' Emboss Powder onto Coastal Cabana card stock and then die-cut with the Word Bubbles Framelits.  

The In Color Sequins were added with Liquid Glue for a little shine.  An added bonus...they are great for covering up any mistakes you make with the gel pen ; )

I find when I'm creating the thing I struggle with most is color...I spend way too much time laboring over which colors to put together.  That's where the Color Coach comes in.  It is my "go-to" everytime I feel "stuck" or undecided about color.  I used it for this card and, while these are not colors I would have ever chosen on my own, they really work!

For the inside of the card, I used the Endless Birthday Wishes Photopolymer Stamp Set.  It's loaded with tons of wording options and I love that they're completely clear, so I can see exactly where to mount them on a clear block to get the look I want.

Scallop Tag Topper Mini Post-it Holder

Such a sweet little gift...this holds a stack of mini Post-it Notes.  I used the Scallop Tag Topper Punch with the Lullaby Designer Series Paper to create this Post-it holder, and decorated it with a Petite Petals flower layered with the Itty Bitty Accents flower found in the Something to Say stamp set.  To hold it closed, I used a Candy Dots Brad Base topped with a Rhinestone Basic Jewel.

Pleasant Poppies

Today's card was stamped with Pleasant Poppies background stamp and colored in with the Blendabilities.  I used Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive Blendabilities here.  The  is one of twelve patterns in the Back to Black Designer Series Paper Pack.  I love the statement a simple black and white pattern can make!!  F.Y.I. ...during July buy 3 get 1 FREE on our Designer Series Paper packs!!  

The sentiment is from the Something to Say stamp set and on the inside of the card it reads "love you always"... so sweet!

My observations on the Blendabilities...

It definitely takes playing with them for a while to get the hang of them, but I think they're worth it...I really like the finished result!  I've decided everyone has their own method for using the Blendabilities, you just need to use them and figure out what works best for you.  As for me, I like the control I get with the fine point (or bullet) tip of the marker.  I begin with the darkest color, using just a thin line, then add the medium color over the dark, blending them together, and work my way to the lightest.  I feel like I get better shading and dimension if I leave a lot of white space and then just blend the colors together with the lightest marker.  I also love how the Color Lifter can be used for softening and lightening the color where it's desired.  I'll be honest, I'm not one to do a lot of coloring.  But I do really like the smooth, even color I can achieve with these new alcohol markers...no visible lines like you get with water-based markers.  They come in a pack of three markers (dark, medium & light) for each color, so you'll have all the shades needed to achieve the perfect shading and blending.  Each color assortment (set of 3 markers) is $11.95 and you will need to use the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad #132708 ($5.95) with these markers.
